The Literatur-Oper Köln brought Gustav Meyrink’s novel «Der Golem» to the stage in an exciting opera adaptation for eight singers and a small instrumental ensemble. The composer Henrik Albrecht, known for his specially invented genre of orchestral radio plays, provides cinematically dense music that illuminates the psychological levels of the characters and transports the audience into the strange worlds of the author Gustav Meyrink.
